Matthew is a titled APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, who completed his masters in clinical physiotherapy (musculoskeletal physiotherapy) in 2021. Matthew qualified with first class honours from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 where he was involved in research investigating non-surgical treatment of Achilles tendinopathy. Through his studies and research Matthew has gained a particular interest in overuse injury management and prevention. He now also has a special interest in complex presentations and chronic pain conditions. Over the years Matthew has completed numerous courses including but not limited to DMA Pilates, Dry Needling and running injury rehabilitation. At Sportreat Matthew provides manual therapy as well clinical Pilates rehabilitation to get the best outcomes for his clients. Matt also provides supervision and training for post-grad masters physiotherapy students through Curtin University. Matthew is a keen surfer and spent much of his youth travelling through Australia and south east Asia surfing. With two young children now in play, you’re more likely to find him at the beach or a park somewhere playing with them.
