Louise graduated her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2014 from the University of Notre Dame. After completing her degree she commenced work at Sportreat in the musculoskeletal and rehabilitation setting. At this time Louise’s work was focused on post-operative rehab and clinical work. She developed a competency in treating these patients following upper and lower limb surgery and is now very confident in guiding anyone throughout all stages of post-surgical rehab. In 2015 and 2016 Louise assisted Melville Junior football club followed by WAAFL Cottesloe Roosters as a trainer providing rehab, taping, deep tissue massage and injury education. In Louise’s previous sporting life she was a dedicated full time gymnast, since then she has participated in netball, volleyball and swimming. She believes these experiences have given her a better understanding of injury management and prevention, which drives her to assist others who find themselves in a similar position returning to sport post-injury. Louise always had an interest in the spine and Pilates. In 2016 she completed her Cert IV in Matwork pilates with Polestar. She is now able to use this exercise regime as a tool for both rehab and prevention of back pain, along with maintenance for a multitude of other injuries. After falling pregnant and having her baby girl in 2017, Louise developed a special interest in Women’s Health. Since then she has completed some extended learning in this special area of Physiotherapy and plans to build on this knowledge in the coming years. To compliment her physiotherapy degree Louise has completed additional courses in Dry Needling (acupuncture) and Kinesiotaping. As well as Sports Level 1 Physiotherapy Management with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
